Kore wa Yamasaki san no kaban desu ka.

Yamasaki san:
Iie, watashi no dewa arimasen. Watashi no wa ôkii desu, demo sore wa chiisai desu.

Ja, dare no kaban desu ka.

Tabun Sakamato sensei no desu. Issho ni kikimashô.

 

 

Mme Yamada:
Is it your bag?

Mme Yamasaki:
No it's not mine. Mine is large, this one is small.

Mme Yamada:
Then, who's is it?

Mme Yamasaki:
It's maybe professor Skamoto's one. Let's ask him together.

 

• これ (kore) this, それ (sore) that, あれ (are) that over there

They are conclusive pronouns of object. これ indicate an object near the one who speaks, それ  indicate an ogbject near the interlocutor or out of reah of the two people. あれ indicate an object rather far (over there).

これは何ですか。
Kore wa nan desu ka.

What is it? (this, what si it?) 

あれは私車です。
Are wa watashi no kuruma desu.

That one over there, it's my car.


• どれ (dore) lequel / laquelle

あの人かばんはどれですか。
Ano hito no kaban wa dore desu ka.

Wich is this person's bag? (the bag of this person, wich one it is?)

 

 

客:
すみません、このテレビはいくらですか。

店員:
それは五万円です。

客:
ちょっと高いです、じゃ それは。

店員:
そのテレビは一万円です、でも新しいではありません。

Kyaku:
Sumimasen, kono terebi wa ikura desu ka.

Ten in:
Sore wa go man en desu.

Chotto takai desu. Ja, sore wa?

Sono terebi wa ichi man en desu, demo atarashii dewa arimasen.

 

 

Client:
Excuse me, how many cost this télévision?

Vendeur:
This one is50 000 Yen.

Client:
It's a bit expansive, and that one?

Vendeur:
This one cost 10 000 Yen but it isn't new.

 

• この (kono) this, その (sono) this, あの (ano) this...over there

These conclusive pronouns are always used before a noun. They correspond to これ、それ、あれ.

この車は安いです。
Kono kuruma wa yasui desu.

This car isn't expansive.

その読みました。
Watashi mo sono hon o yomimashita.

I read this book me too.


• どの (dono) wich

どの correspond to どれ but is used before a noun.

どの本ですか (dono hon desu ka): Wich book is it??
